Shira is a Research Assistant at the Center for the Study of Traumatic Stress (CSTS). She graduated from the University of Maryland, College Park, in May 2023 with a B.S. in Psychology. As an undergraduate, Shira was a research assistant in the Maryland Child and Family Development Laboratory run by Dr. Jude Cassidy. There, she gained an in-depth understanding of research methodology and study coordination, furthering her passion for psychological research. Through her position, Shira hopes to advance her research skills and knowledge of traumatic stress, suicide, and trauma-informed care. Shira aims to continue her education with a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology.
