Sama Elmahdy, B.S.

Sama Elmahdy is a research assistant at the Center for the Study of Traumatic Stress (CSTS). She graduated from Duke University in May 2022 with a B.S. in Psychology as well as minors in Global Health and Chemistry. Through her coursework and experiences, she developed her interests in public health and mental health. During her time in undergrad, she interned for the Duke Center for Child & Family Policy and the North Carolina Division of State Operated Health Facilities. After graduation, she worked as a Behavior Technician, where she implemented individualized behavioral intervention plans. Sama is excited to continue pursuing research that focuses on mental health at CSTS.
